10 people trapped due to roof fall, one killed

A big accident occurred due to a blast in a weapon factory located in Bhandara district of Maharashtra. In this accident, the roof of a factory building collapsed, 10 people are stranded in the rubble. So far, a total of 12 people are reported to have been trapped, out of which only 2 people have been safely evacuated.

• The accident occurred at a weapon factory located in Jawahar Nagar area of ​​Bhandara.
• The explosion was so strong that the large part of the building turned into rubble due to falling roof.
• Fire brigade and ambulance team reached the spot are working to remove debris.

• The body of one person has been recovered, and the remaining 10 people are still stranded under the rubble.

District administration’s response

Bhandara Collector Sanjay Kolte informed that the accident happened this morning. The rescue operation is running fast. The district administration has continued relief and rescue operations with the help of Defense Force and SDRF.

Chief Minister expressed grief

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed deep condolences on the incident. He said:

“About 13-14 people are stranded under the roof that fell in the arms factory. So far the death of a person has been confirmed. My condolences are with the family of the deceased. “
He also informed that all necessary help is being provided in relief work.

Medical and rescue assistance

• Medical teams have been deployed on the spot so that the injured can be given immediate medical assistance.
• SDRF, firefighters and local administration are working together in rescue operations.
• The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical, due to which there is a danger of increasing the number of deaths.

Defense department’s response

The Defense PRO in Nagpur said that the rescue and medical teams were sent to the factory immediately after the blast. The factory security personnel also helped in removing debris.
