Mumbai – Mumbai Municipal Corporation has finally started the process of demolishing the illegal floors of a 16 -storey building called ‘Economic House’ located on First Flank Road in Dongri, as 12 floors have been constructed illegally.
According to the information received in this regard, this building was constructed during the Korona period. A 16 -storey building was built in place of the originally sanctioned four to five -storey building.
After receiving the complaint, the municipality investigated the case. In which it was clear that 12 floors i.e. 6 to 16 floors were illegal. Therefore, it was decided to demolish this illegal 12th floor. Last year, four illegal floors of this building were demolished. While the process of demolishing the remaining eight floors has been started. This action will be intensified in the coming days. Municipal sources gave this information. The local ward officer said that police protection was required for this action.
