185 km long new railway line, railway infrastructure will get a big boost from Bikaner to Anupgarh

An important step has been taken to empower the railway network in Rajasthan. A proposal for doubling of new railway line and Lalgarh-Bikaner track from Bikaner to Anupgarh has been sent to the Railway Board. These projects will not only increase passenger facilities, but will also see a major improvement in logistics by getting the alternative route to cargo trains.

Bikaner -Anupgarh railway line pending for three decades can get approval

The demand for about 185 km long railway line from Bikaner to Anupgarh in Rajasthan was going on for three decades. Now action on this has intensified.

• Detail project report (DPR) of this railway line has been sent to the Railway Board

• Proposed cost: ₹ 2277.24 crore

• This line will give better connectivity to the entire region by connecting hundreds of villages.

• Also, another new line of 55 km from Rojri to Khajuwala has also been included.

Doubling of Lalgarh-Bikaner track: There will be a big improvement in passenger facilities

The Lalgarh-Bikaner railway track passing through Bikaner city is only 11 km long, but it plays an important role in the operation of trains in the region.

• DPR cost for doubling: ₹ 265.78 crore

• On completion of this, there will be no need to stop trains at stations, because trains will not have to wait for the signal.

• It will be possible to operate more trains of long distance

Railway track will be ready for high speed

The new railway line is designed for speed of 160 kmph. From this:

• The speed of freight trains will also be faster

• Transportation and trade will accelerate

Work will start after approval with DPR Railway Board

Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway Shashi Kiran said that:

• Anupgarh -Bikaner new line,

• Lalgarh -Bikaner track doubling, and

• DPR for doubling of Narnaul -Phulera road has been sent to the Railway Board

As soon as the approval is received, work will be started fast on them.
