News India Live, Digital Desk: Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is often in the discussion by making controversial statements against India and the Indian Army. Recently, he blamed the Indian Army for the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and even called the army ‘useless’. In this terrorist attack, 26 innocent people lost their lives and evidence of the direct relationship with Pakistan has come to light.
Shahid Afridi had made serious allegations against India, saying, “The terrorists continued to kill innocent people in Pahalgam for an hour but none of the 8 lakh soldiers reached for help. When they came, they blamed Pakistan without any investigation. India itself spreads terror on its people and accuses Pakistan.” Afridi said that Islam teaches peace and Pakistan never supports terrorism.
Afridi’s reason for anti -India spirit
The roots of Afridi’s hatred towards India are 22 years old. In 2003, Shahid Afridi’s cousin Shakib was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in an encounter in Anantnag. According to BSF, Shakib was the battalion commander of the terrorist organization Harkat-ul-Ansar and was associated with the network of global terrorist Hafiz Saeed. Shakib was a resident of Peshawar and was active in Anantnag area for about one and a half years.
At that time Shahid Afridi was a regular member of the Pakistan cricket team and after this incident he said that “Pathan families are very big, I do not know what to do. I have many cousins, I can’t remember everyone.”
However, Indian security agencies had recovered such documents from Shakib, which clarified his relationship with Shahid Afridi. Since then Afridi has been constantly making aggressive and controversial statements towards India.
