5 days police custody to accused

In the case of a knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, the police presented accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad in court on Friday. The police informed the court that they had recovered weapons and clothes related to the incident. In addition, all evidence has been sent to the lab for forensic examination.

The court, while hearing the case, has sent the accused Shahzad to police custody till 29 January.

Police said all evidence related to the incident, in which weapons and clothes used by the accused have been sent for forensic investigation. This step has been taken to confirm the evidence.

After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court ruled that the accused be kept in police custody till January 29. Police claim that during this time they will work on unresolved aspects of the case.
