A passenger plane crashed in Aktau, Kazakhstan. According to the information, there were 62 passengers and 5 crew members present in the plane. Of these, 25 people have been saved. 22 have been admitted to the hospital.

42 people are feared dead in the accident. The plane was en route from Azerbaijan to Grozny, the capital of Russia’s Chechnya province, but had to make an emergency landing about 3 kilometers from the Kazakh city of Aktau.

The flight route was changed due to fog. The plane circled the airport several times before crashing. The pilot also asked for permission for emergency landing. However, they were later forced to make an emergency landing on the beach near the airport. The crashed aircraft was an Embraer 190 model of Azerbaijan Airlines.

Kazakhstan’s Transport Ministry says they will conduct a special investigation into the accident. Technical fault can also be the reason for the crash. At the same time, according to a Russian media report, this accident happened due to collision with a flock of birds. According to the Emergencies Ministry of Kazakhstan, a total of 52 rescue teams have been sent to the accident site.
