Who will be the captain of RCB in IPL 2025 has become a big question. While most of the teams have announced their captains, RCB’s team is still not able to choose their captain. Former team player AB de Villiers believes that RCB has no other option but to make Virat Kohli a captain, as there is no other leader in the team. Last season, Faf Duplesi captained the team, but this time RCB released them and Delhi Capitals bought them for 2 crores.
AB de Villiers said on his YouTube channel, “I think Virat Kohli (for RCB’s captaincy) is the only option. He is at the last stop of his career and is more inspired than ever. We are always accustomed to watching them playing innings winning matches, until they come in form and score runs. This is the important time of his career. “
Virat Kohli captained RCB from 2013 to 2021, and during this time he took the team to the 2016 IPL final. He scored the most runs in that season and also scored four centuries. However, he left the captaincy in 2021, but this time it is expected that he may return to the role of captaincy again.
De Villiers believes that Virat Kohli can once again take the responsibility of RCB captaincy and make a great end of his career.
Virat Kohli has captained RCB in 143 IPL matches, in which the team won 66 matches and lost 70 matches. RCB’s win percentage under his captaincy was 46.15%.
