News India Live, Digital Desk: One of the 18 Mahapuranas of Hinduism, hearing the name of Garuda Purana, people often think of death and the mysterious journey after that. But this Purana does not just tell what happens after death, but it also teaches us how we should live life.

In Garuda Purana, Lord Vishnu has explained his vehicle Garuda Dev in detail about the fruits of deeds. It is clearly written in it that the account of the good and bad works done in our birth decides what our next birth will be.

It has specially warned about some such works, which the person doing loses the opportunity to be born as a human in the next life and has to suffer in the vagina of animals and birds. So let’s know about the 5 works that we should always avoid.

1. insulting Guru or elders
In our scriptures, Guru has been given higher status than parents. The Guru takes us out of the darkness of ignorance and leads the light of knowledge. According to the Garuda Purana, a person who deliberately insults his guru, parents or any respected person, degrade him or hurts his heart, he becomes a part of severe sin. Such a person has to be born in the next life as an organism without bone, such as a snake or a creature living in water.

2. To cheat or deceive someone
When someone trusts us and we break that trust, it is a big crime in the eyes of God. It is considered a great sin to grab or cheat his wealth by implicating a straightforward or innocent person in his sweet words. Garuda Purana says that the person doing this is born in the next life as an owl, who is unable to see in the daylight and wanders in the dark.

3. Insult or torture of a woman
In the culture in which a woman has been considered as the form of a goddess, it is an inefficient crime to insult her or torture her in any way. A man who abuses a woman tortures her or puts her hand on her honor, he has to suffer terrible suffering for the next lives. According to Garuda Purana, such a sinner gets a vulture of vulture or any other terrible and meat -eating organism in the next life.

4. stealing gold or precious items
Stealing is considered a sin in any religion, but theft of holy and precious metal like gold has been described as a serious sin. Sona is a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. A person who steals the gold of a Brahmin or a needy person gets a life of insects in the next life.

5. Killing innocent creatures
God has given the right to live every living being on this earth. A person who kills an unruly and innocent creature only for his entertainment or selfishness or causes unnecessarily suffering, he becomes a part of sin. It is believed that in the next life, the one has to go through the same sufferings by taking birth as a butcher or hunter animal, which he gave to others.

Garuda Purana is not to scare us, but to run the right path. The essence of this is that what we do today, we will suffer tomorrow. Therefore, we have got this precious life of man, so we should live it while doing good deeds.
