Acid was thrown on a college going student, the crazy lover along with his friends did it:

News India Live, Digital Desk: The country’s capital Delhi was once again put to shame when an attempt was made to burn the dreams of a 20 year old student with acid. Three people threw acid on a student of Delhi University in Ashok Vihar area on Sunday morning. Luckily, the brave girl quickly covered her face with her hands, which saved her face, but both her hands got badly burnt.

The victim is a student of Lakshmibai College and was going to college for her extra classes at the time of the incident. According to the police, the main accused who carried out this heinous incident is a person named Jitendra, who was stalking the victim for a long time.

How did this heartbreaking incident happen?

In her statement to the police, the student told that the accused Jitendra, who lives in her area Mukundpur, was continuously harassing her for the last several months. A month ago, there was an altercation between the two regarding this matter, after which the actions of the accused increased further. The surprising thing is that accused Jitendra is married and also the father of a child. The victim had even complained about his actions to his wife, but he did not desist from his habits.

On the morning of the incident, when the student left for college, Jitendra came on a motorcycle with his two friends – Ishaan and Armaan. He stopped the girl on the way. According to reports, Ishaan gave an acid bottle to Armaan, and Armaan threw it at the student. The girl did not lose courage in this sudden attack and immediately made a shield with her hands in front of her face. Because of this his hands got badly burnt. After committing the crime, the three criminals fled from the spot.

Police is searching for the accused

The injured student was immediately taken to the nearby Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, from where she was referred to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. According to doctors, the condition of the student is stable.

This incident once again raises serious questions on the safety of women and open sale of acid in Delhi. Police have registered the case and have started searching for the accused after scanning the CCTV footage of the area, but they are still absconding.
