Afghanistan-India Relations: Afghan Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttahida Qadri has cleared the way for the next week to India. This will be an Afghan minister’s first visit to India since the Taliban came to power. The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has approved him to come to India. Because the Taliban is still in the banned list under the UNSC proposal 1988. His travel has been banned due to joining this list.
When will India come to India?
After the approval of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Aamir Khan Muttki has been allowed to come to New Delhi from 9 to 16 October. Aamir Khan Muttki will be in Russia on 6 October, where he will participate in the seventh Moscow format talks.
This is the first time the Taliban will participate in this multilateral platform as a guest, but as a member. India is working on several development projects in the Taliban. Taliban officials have also appealed to strengthen relations with India.
Big shock to Pakistan:
Afghan Foreign Minister is coming to New Delhi for high -level meetings, which is a strategic trick of India against Pakistan and China. Pakistan has always wanted to prevent India and Afghanistan from coming together. That is why he had also put an obstacle in the previous India tour of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, due to which his tour was canceled. However, this time India’s preparations have thwarted Pakistan.
Muttki is the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan since August 2021. Earlier in early May, Muttki held an informal meeting in Beijing with Chinese and Pakistani Foreign Ministers Wang Yi and Ishaq Dar. In this meeting, the expansion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was discussed till Afghanistan.
Jaishankar and Muttki spoke on the phone last month.
India has opposed the construction of a CPEC project costing $ 60 billion, as it passes through Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Taliban also condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Amir Khan Muttki and Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar spoke on the phone on 1 September 2025. At that time, India sent relief material after the earthquake in Afghanistan.
