News India Live, Digital Desk: OpenAI and IndiaAI under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to improve AI education in India OpenAI Academy India Started On June 6, the partnership was officially announced, for the first time that OpenAI’s AI learning platform was outside the United States.
A memorandum has also been prepared to define how this partnership will be established. According to IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Indian startups, developers and researchers will be able to innovate more quickly and effectively by releasing these equipment and information to the public.
OpenAI Academy India will provide free access to training, webinars and workshops in six major Indian cities. It attempts to make AI possible for students, professionals, small business owners and government employees. Under the IndiaAI Mission, 50 startups or Fellows are expected to receive $ 100,000 in API Credit from OpenAI.
Initially, the program will provide both online and offline lessons and will be available in English and Hindi before including regional languages. It is planned to share these resources on platforms such as Futurescles and IGOT Karmayogi for government employees.
Inclusive AI Ecosystem Building
The Academy is supporting the future skill initiative of IndiaAI and its goal is to teach 100,000 teachers to use generative AI equipment. Around 25,000 students will participate in hackathon in seven different states.
OpenAI Chief Strategy Officer Jason Quon said that India is an important center for AI development. He said that through this academy, people will get the necessary skills and confidence to use AI in their lives and communities.
