The new R1-0528 update is not just a small change. Without any official announcement, it has already started making a splash in the performance chart. It is now back from the O3 Reasoning Model of Openai on the main benchmark and above the Gemini 2.5 of Google.
What is new in Deepcik R1-0528?
Updates improve logic, writing output and reaction structure. According to developers testing the model, R1-0528 has long-term thinking sessions, allegedly spent 30 to 60 minutes on single tasks when needed. This change ranging from quick output to intensive, more thoughtful responses makes it different.
A representative of the Deepciak allegedly described it as a “modest test upgrade” in the WeChat group, but nothing is modest about its current benchmark status. On the LiveCodbench leaderboard, which is maintained by researchers from UC Berkeley, MIT and Cornell, the new Dipcic R1 performed better than XAI’s Groke-3-Mune and Alibaba’s Quen-3.
No official blog or public statement has yet come from the DipC. But Hugging face listing for r1-0528 is live And the community has joined it.
