The city has now implemented a complete ban on the sale, storage and use of firecrackers throughout the year. The Municipal Corporation Helpline 155305 can also be contacted for emergency or direct complaints, which will ensure quick action. There is a provision for strict legal action against those who violate this ban. A fine of up to Rs 5,000 can be imposed for bursting crackers. At the same time, a fine amount on serious violations like selling or storing firecrackers can reach Rs 5 lakh, and along with this the person concerned may be sentenced to jail. The government is ensuring that the rules break the rules so that the air quality can improve. This initiative is an important step towards providing better and breathable environment to Delhiites. All citizens have been appealed to follow this rule and contribute to creating a clean Delhi.
