Air Safety Questioned: Big threat in Air India flights, DGCA caught an expired emergency equipment!

News India Live, Digital Desk: Air Safety Questioned , If you travel by air, especially from Air India, this news can be worrying for you. A big question has arisen on the security system of the country’s leading airline Air India. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has caught a huge security lapse in several Air India aircraft, after which the airline has been reprimanded.

What is the whole matter?

DGCA recently closely inspected 90 Air India aircraft. During this investigation, it was found that 13 aircraft had such emergency equipment (such as escape slides, life waste and oxygen cylinders), whose duration (expiry date) was over! This is directly playing with the safety of the passengers, as the same tools play an important role in saving the lives of the passengers in any emergency.

Given this serious negligence, DGCA has immediately issued a notice to Air India. DGCA has directed to remove all these flaws from the airline and submit a detailed report in this regard. This is not the first time that questions have been raised about the security protocol on Air India.

How serious the security lapse?

Expedited emergency equipment being in aircraft is a serious security violation. It is very important to have the right and up-to-date of every small tool in air travel. If the escape slide does not open in the emergency, or the life waste does not work, or there is no gas in the oxygen cylinder, it can directly endanger the lives of the passengers.

This action of DGCA states that the regulatory organization does not want to compromise on aviation security. Now there is pressure on Air India to remove these security flaws as soon as possible and avoid such negligence in future, so that the trust of the passengers will remain.
