All 12 people involved in the 2006 Mumbai Blasts Were Declared Innocent

News India Live, Digital Desk: Important Decision of the High Court: The Bombay High Court has acquitted all the 12 accused in the 2006 Mumbai train blast case. This decision came after about 17 years of this fierce incident, in which hundreds of people lost their lives. Earlier, 12 of these accused were sentenced by a particular MCOCA court, while one was imprisoned. The High Court has overturned this decision of the lower court.

Significantly, on 11 July 2006, there were seven powerful explosions in suburban trains in Mumbai at the same time. A total of 189 people died and 829 others were injured in these terrorist attacks, causing the entire city to be shocked. The case was investigated by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra and claimed in his charge sheet that the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) and SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India-SIMI) were behind these blasts.

The case went on in courts for more than 17 years, including long legal proceedings and several rounds of debate.
