Anuj's father said that Mohanganj police station's in-charge inspector Rakesh Singh had informed him that Anuj was also involved in the Sultanpur robbery. When Anuj was not found, the police picked me up. They kept me in the police station for 16 days and were constantly trying to find out about Anuj.

Dharamraj Singh, father of Anuj Pratap Singh who was killed in a police encounter, targeting Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, said that now an encounter of a Thakur has taken place. His wish has also been fulfilled. What about the government, it can do whatever it wants. What can we say, our son is gone.

The father said that Anuj was his eldest son. After him there is a daughter who is studying B.Sc. The second son studies in class 11. He is a farmer by profession. Anuj completed his graduation from Tiloi tehsil of Amethi district in 2023. On June 3, 2024, he went to Surat, Gujarat in connection with a case and since then he had not returned home.

Anuj Pratap Singh's sister said that if you have been given the police uniform, then do not take its wrong advantage. The person who has 36 cases against him should not be killed in an encounter. Rather, the person who already had one case against him should be killed in an encounter. If 14, 15 people are involved in this, then all of them should be killed in an encounter. The law is really blind, there is no justice here. We don't even have a mother, we only have a father and he was an elder brother. If something happens to our father, then who will we depend on? Those people brutally killed my brother in an encounter. All people should be killed in an encounter, only then will we get justice. Whatever is happening in this government is very wrong. Whoever is getting it done is doing very wrong. The punishment for a crime is decided by the court, the police cannot do an encounter like this. Today, after hearing this, we feel that the ground has slipped from under my feet.
