News India Live, Digital Desk: We all applaud the fours and sixes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but have you carefully observed those players who are going to shake the world by wearing Team India’s jersey tomorrow? yes, we are talking U-19 (Under-19) team of.
Today the first match of the ODI series is being played between the youth teams of India and South Africa at Willowmoor Park, Benoni, South Africa. This match is special because it is from here that we come to know how strong the ‘bench strength’ of Indian cricket is.
pitch and conditions
South African pitches have always been helpful for fast bowlers. Bounce and pace give a tough test to the Indian batsmen here. But our young players are also no less. After facing hardships in IPL and domestic cricket, these players now look ready for any challenge.
Why should you watch this match?
Often in U-19 matches, that passion is seen which is often missing in big matches. These boys have nothing to lose, but the whole world to gain. Every player is giving not 100% but 200% so that the selectors notice him.
In today’s match, all eyes are on the Indian spinners and top order batsmen. Will they be able to withstand the African pace battery? It will be really interesting to see.
a tough fight
Being the host, South Africa will definitely get the advantage of its home conditions, but the record of ‘Team India’ at the junior level has always been excellent. This competition is not just about winning or losing, but about maintaining nerves (control).
So if you are a real fan of cricket, then keep an eye on the scorecard. Who knows, the boy who is scoring centuries today may turn out to be the next Shubman Gill or Yashasvi Jaiswal!
