News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays, most of us Android users use only ‘Google Message’ app. This app is not only secure but is also filled with many smart features. The best of these is to pin any chat to the top. Suppose you have an address where you have to reach or an old message from the bank which you have to see again and again, then it makes sense to pin it at the top.
How to ‘pin’ your SMS? (Step-by-Step Easy Method)
It is very simple to do this, you do not need to be a tech-expert for this. Just follow these 3 easy steps:
- Select message: First of all, open Google Message app in your phone. Now find the conversation or message from the person you want to pin.
- Long Press: Press and hold your finger on that chat for a while. As soon as you press it, that chat will be selected and some options will start appearing at the top of the screen.
- Tap the pin icon: In the upper bar of the screen you will see a ‘Pin’ The icon will appear as follows. Just click on it. As soon as you click, that chat will appear at the top of the message list and a small pin mark will be made next to it.
One important thing you should know:
In Google Messages, currently you can pin only 5 chats to the top simultaneously. This is so that your inbox does not start getting filled with messages again. If you need to pin a new message and you already have 5 messages pinned, you’ll need to ‘Unpin’ one of the older ones. The method of unpinning is also the same. Long press on the message and then press the ‘Unpin’ icon.
Believe me, If you start trying this small setting, you will realize how much of a headache you have saved yourself. Now neither will you have to sift through your entire inbox to find the OTP nor will you miss any important thing.
