Petrol-diesel prices are one of the things we look at every morning. After all, these have a direct impact on our pockets and monthly budget! The good news is that crude oil prices are falling across the world, due to which it was expected that we will get some relief at the petrol pump also.
But did this really happen? Let us know what changed in the new rates released this morning.
Somewhere there was relief, somewhere there was a shock!
Today, prices have not changed in big cities like Delhi and Mumbai, but small fluctuations have been seen in some cities.
- Attention Noida people: In Noida adjacent to the capital Delhi, petrol has become costlier by 6 paise and diesel by 8 paise. Today’s new prices are – Petrol ₹94.77 And Diesel ₹87.89 per litre.
- Good news for Lucknow people: There is some relief today in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here petrol has become cheaper by 15 paise and diesel by 17 paise. Today’s prices are – Petrol ₹94.69 And Diesel ₹87.81 per litre.
- Slight increase in Patna: There has been a slight increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Here petrol has become costlier by 5 paise and diesel by 4 paise.
What is the condition of big cities?
If you live in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai or Kolkata, the prices are the same for you.
- Delhi: Petrol ₹94.72 | Diesel ₹87.62
- Mumbai: Petrol ₹103.44 | Diesel ₹89.97
- Chennai: Petrol ₹100.76 | Diesel ₹92.35
- Kolkata: Petrol ₹104.95 | Diesel ₹91.76
Why did the prices not change for one and a half years?
You will be surprised to know that there has been no major change in the prices of petrol and diesel in big cities like Delhi and Mumbai for more than one and a half years (March 2024). In between, crude oil prices skyrocketed and are now falling, but for us the prices have remained almost stable.
