Moradabad, 20 August (HS). People are angry about the incidents of rape and murder of women in the country including Kolkata. In this sequence, on the provincial call of the leftist parties, all the leftist parties and democratic organizations gathered in the district on Tuesday. They protested at the District Magistrate's office and sent a memorandum to the President through the District Magistrate.
The protesters demanded that those who raped and murdered the female trainee doctor of RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata should be arrested immediately. The police should also file a case against those who protected the murderers of the trainee doctor and arrest them. The culprits should get the harshest punishment. Along with this, the government should provide adequate security and a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the widowed mother and sympathizers of the deceased trainee doctor.
The protesters have also demanded that the criminals who gang-raped the teenage girl from Moradabad in the roadways bus at ISBT premises in Dehradun should be punished as soon as possible and justice should be provided to the victim. On this occasion, Left Front convenor Comrade Rohitashv Rajput, Chandrapal Singh Azad, Vikram Singh Advocate, Sushil Vishnoi Advocate, Khan Aslam Javed, Shahabuddin, Yakub Saifi, Sanjeev Kumar, Dev Raj Mahipal Singh, KPL Sehgal, Irshad, etc. were present.
