Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that I will protect the teachers of Bengal till my last breath and restore their respect. If I have to go to jail, I am ready. Mamta’s statement came after the Supreme Court’s decision in which many teachers have lost their jobs. During his conversation with him, Mamta voluntarily proposed a job. Due to this, there is anger among teachers.
In a meeting with those who lost their jobs after the verdict, Mamata Banerjee asked all of them to return to her job and appealed to them to continue their work in service spirit. He said that even if I have to go to jail, I am ready. My promise is that I will not allow injustice to anyone entitled to the job. As long as I survive, I will continue to fight this battle.
Along with this, Mamta claimed that no one has got a termination letter, so you guys continue your work, you are free to serve voluntarily. The Supreme Court, while delivering the verdict on April 3, upheld the decision of the Calcutta High Court in which the recruitment process of more than 25,000 teachers was declared illegal, that is, all these people have lost their jobs. However, Mamta has assured her that no one will go to a job.
Mamta assured that the West Bengal government would sought clarification from the Supreme Court on the issue and will also file a review petition on the decision. Now who will manage schools? Who will handle the job of those whose jobs are in crisis? On the other hand, some teachers who lost jobs have removed their anger on the Mamta government and said that the state government, the Chief Minister, their cabinet and the commission are all involved in corruption. Mamta has given only lollipops in lieu of job today and said that 25,000 people will be given voluntary work.
