Giving information about the incident, DCP Niketan Kadam said that the situation was handled in Nagpur with the help of CP Sir and the help of SRPOF personnel. The streets of the area where riots took place are very narrow. Stones were being thrown on every road. He had weapons, sticks and petrol bottles. So we were trying to push the crowd back. A police team went to a house to search for the suspected attacker. By then hundreds of people had gathered. The police team was inside the house and I was out. If the mob had attacked the house, it could have been a major untoward incident.
