The land of revolutionaries, who used to feel a little behind in the race of development till now, is now ready to write a new saga. Under the ambitious scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, Ballia district is being connected to not one, not two, but three expressways. It is not just a network of roads, but is a new highway of progress for this entire Purvanchal region, which will completely change the picture of the district in the coming time.
Triveni of development: These are the three expressways
-
Purvanchal Expressway: Ballia has already connected to this expressway, which has given it a direct access to Lucknow and Delhi.
-
Gorakhpur Link Expressway: This expressway will connect Ballia directly to the industrial corridor of Gorakhpur, which will open new avenues of trade and transport.
-
Ballia Link Greenfield Expressway: It is the most special and game-changer project. It will be a completely new corridor, which will not only facilitate movement, but will also settled a new industrial area along its banks.
Not just roads, employment corridor too
The biggest goal of this scheme is to make Ballia a new ‘growth center’ of Purvanchal. Ballia Link is planned to develop a large industrial corridor along with the Greenfield Expressway. This means that new factories will be installed here, youth will get employment opportunities at the local level and the compulsion to go out for work will be less. UPEIDA (Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority) is working rapidly for this project, which is clear that the government wants to convert this dream into reality as soon as possible.
This great plan will not only connect Ballia to other parts of the state, but will also give it a new identity by making it financially self-sufficient.
