Baloch women painful performance in Islamabad: Return us to our loved ones

Islamabad: In Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, women from Balochistan on Sunday staged a poignant protest, pleading for justice. These women were demanding the release of their loved ones, especially their daughters and sisters, missing for the past several years. They allege that the Pakistani security forces often kidnap and torture innocent Baloch citizens and torture them. The women protested had taken pictures of their missing loved ones in their hands and had placards with messages like “Returned to our children” in their neck. He says that he has been missing for many years, but the government of Pakistan and security agencies are neither giving any satisfactory answers nor deciding any kind of accountability. The demonstration was organized in Balochistan with the aim of attracting the attention of the international community on the issue of human rights violations and especially forcibly disappearance. The human rights organizations have been continuously demanding the Government of Pakistan to end this practice and ensure accountability. The protesting women say that they will continue their opposition to getting information about their family members and their safe release.
