The IPL 2025 saw an exciting match on Wednesday, in which hosts Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals in the super over. Delhi’s bowling coach Munaf Patel violated the code of conduct in this match, due to which the BCCI has taken action against him.

Due to violent debate with the umpire, Munaf has been fined heavy and 25 percent of their match fees has been deducted. Along with this, he has also been given a demerit point.

Quarrel with umpire

A video of him is going viral about this match, in which he is seen arguing with the fourth umpire near the boundary. Seeing him, it seems that he is angry with the umpire. It is being said that he wanted to give a message on the field through a player of his team, but the umpire did not allow him to do so. After this, he got into a fight with the umpire.

Munaf admitted his mistake.

Munaf Patel has accepted the blame for the offense of Level 1 under Section 2.20, which eliminates the need for hearing. The BCCI said in its statement about Munaf Patel that ‘Munaf Patel has accepted the crime of Level 1 and has also accepted the decision given by the match referee’.

Stark won Delhi

In this exciting match, Rajasthan was moving towards victory at one time, but then Kangaroo fast bowler Mitchell Starc came against him. It was the effect of Stark’s speed that he did not allow Rajasthan batsmen to score nine runs in the last over. After the match tie, he also showed his strength in the super over and allowed Ryan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer to score just 11 runs. Delhi batsmen achieved this target in just four balls and won their fifth win of the season.
