The police has arrested the mastermind who spread terror by giving fake threats to bomb government offices, schools and courts in many states including the country’s capital Delhi. Delhi Police arrested a youth from Mysore, Karnataka on Sunday as part of a special operation. The accused had been giving sleepless nights to the security agencies for a long time by sending warnings of ‘fake bomb blasts’ through emails. With this arrest, the police claimed to have busted a big network.

Conspiracy was being hatched from Brindavan Layout house

According to police sources, the identity of the arrested accused Srinivas Has happened as. He was carrying out his activities from a rented house in Brindavan Layout (Second Phase, Sixth Cross), Mysore. The accused used to send threatening emails to many institutions simultaneously by taking advantage of technical flaws in a very clever manner. Due to these messages, schools had to be evacuated several times and an atmosphere of chaos was created in the courts.

Secret revealed through technical surveillance and raids

Taking seriously the continuous threats received since last one month, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had started Technical Surveillance. Investigation revealed that the IP addresses of all these threatening messages were linked to Mysore. After this, a team of Delhi Police immediately reached Mysore and with the help of local VV Puram police station, suddenly raided the hideout of Srinivas. The police was successful in catching the accused red handed from the spot.

Laptop and dozens of fake SIM cards recovered

During the raid, police recovered a high-tech laptop and several fake SIM cards from Srinivas. Initial investigation has revealed that he used these SIM cards to hide his identity through internet dongle. Police have seized all the electronic devices and sent them for forensic examination. The investigating officers are now trying to find out whether Srinivas was doing this at the behest of any big terrorist organization or anti-social gang.

The accused is being brought to Delhi for questioning.

After getting transit remand from Mysore court, Delhi Police is bringing the accused to the national capital for questioning. The police are also investigating how many other people were involved with him in this conspiracy and what was his main objective behind these fake threats. Officials believe that after interrogating Srinivas, big revelations can also be made in the cases of threats received to airports and hospitals in recent times.
