News India Live, Digital Desk: Today’s big news of UP is not only related to law and justice, but is also presenting an example of reverence and strictness of the police on the last Monday of the year. Let us know if something big has happened today.

1. ‘Supreme’ breaks on the relief of Kuldeep Singh Sengar!
Who can forget the famous Unnao incident of 2017? The news is not good for expelled former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is serving a sentence in this case. Some time ago, giving him a big relief, the Delhi High Court had temporarily stayed his life sentence, but now the Supreme Court has taken a tough stance on this. The Supreme Court has stayed that order of the Delhi High Court. This clearly means that the exit routes which were opening for Sengar are currently locked. This is considered a major turning point in this fight for justice.

2. Chief Minister Yogi in the shelter of Mahadev: Last farewell of the year 2025
While on one hand there is a hustle and bustle of law, on the other hand Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath started the day in a very calm and spiritual manner. Today is the last Monday of the year 2025, and on this occasion, CM Yogi performed ‘Rudrabhishek’ as per the rituals at his residence in Gorakhnath temple.

Bilvapatra and Madar were offered to Mahadev in the presence of scholars and priests of the Math, then anointed with water and milk. This worship of CM Yogi was not personal, rather he sought blessings for the health, peace and happiness and prosperity of the people of the entire state. Before bidding farewell to 2025, this moment feels like a spiritual peace and a prayer for the well-being of the entire state.

3. Big police action in Badaun: Vicious criminal caught after encounter
If we talk about law and order, Badaun police has given a strong message to the criminals. You might remember that there was a robbery at a eunuch’s house in Badaun – the main criminal involved in this incident, who had a reward of Rs 25 thousand on him, was caught by the police in an encounter today. There was also firing during the encounter in which the miscreant was injured and is currently admitted to the hospital. Police have also recovered a pistol and some robbery material from him. The promptness of the police in this matter is praiseworthy, because till now 10 criminals have already been sent to jail.
