News India Live, Digital Desk: In Maharashtra politics, once again there are indications that all is not well within ‘Mahavikas Aghadi’ (MVA). According to latest reports, Sharad Pawar A long and tense political battle was hidden behind his unopposed election to the Rajya Sabha. The news is that Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena’s party (UBT) was not at all in favor of supporting Pawar and a big ‘fear’ and ‘distrust’ was working behind it.
Why is the Thackeray family angry?
According to sources, there is deep resentment within Shiv Sena (UBT) that Sharad Pawar’s party (NCP-SP) is no longer a reliable ally. The main reasons for the dispute are as follows:
Merger Speculations: Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders fear that Sharad Pawar’s faction may again join forces with Ajit Pawar’s faction in the future, which will weaken the alliance.
Aditya Thackeray’s stand: Aditya Thackeray clearly said that as per rotation this seat belonged to Shiv Sena. Expressing his disappointment, he said that now he will have to wait till 2028 for his candidate.
Congress pressure: It is being said that Uddhav Thackeray was adamant on fielding his party’s candidate till the end, but after Congress announced its support to Pawar, he was left alone and had to step back.
Pawar’s political move and ‘Matoshree”s helplessness
For this only seat of Rajya Sabha, Supriya Sule and Jayant Patil went to ‘Matoshree’ and had a long meeting with Uddhav Thackeray. It is said that despite two hours of conversation, Uddhav did not budge. However, after the compulsion of the alliance and the intervention of the Congress high command in Delhi, Pawar’s name was finally approved.
Clouds of crisis over the future?
Political experts believe that this sourness may prove costly in the upcoming assembly elections. The open statement by Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders that “NCP-SP is not trustworthy” indicates that ‘all is well’ in the MVA only on paper.
