Bigg Boss 20: Salman Khan Schools Qazi Touqeer Over ‘Lollipop’ Remark Aimed at Kanika Mann; Calls Out His Stubborn Attitude

The tension inside the Bigg Boss 20 house reached a boiling point during the high-voltage Weekend Ka Vaar episode as host Salman Khan took singer and contestant Qazi Touqeer to task. The reprimand followed a controversial remark Qazi directed at fellow housemate Kanika Mann during an indoor roleplay activity. Rather than letting the issue slide as banter, Salman pulled up Qazi for crossing boundaries, defending questionable double-meaning comments, and stubbornly dragging out the confrontation instead of offering an immediate, genuine apology.

The Roleplay Exchange That Triggered Backlash

The controversy originated earlier in the week during a teacher-student roleplay interaction between the housemates. When Kanika Mann asked Qazi what subject he would study under her as his professor, he answered “Biology”. Moments later, he added: “You’re very beautiful, ma’am. Can we have a lollipop together?”

Kanika immediately took strong offense to the statement, calling it cheap and inappropriate. She confronted him on the spot, stating she would not tolerate disrespectful remarks disguised as casual humor. Despite her clear objection, Qazi attempted to brush off the incident by claiming his comment was innocent and playful, comparing his behavior to an intellectually naive character and insisting his intentions were harmless.

Salman Khan Pulls Up Qazi: ‘You Sound Like a Stuck Record’

Addressing the incident on the Weekend Ka Vaar stage, Salman Khan made it clear that Qazi’s justification did not hold up. Salman emphasized that once a person makes it known that a remark has made them uncomfortable or offended, the correct course of action is to step back immediately rather than argue.

Calling out Qazi’s refusal to back down, Salman noted: “Qazi, jab kisi ko aapke intentions galat lage hain, you should just back out. Lekin aap lage rahe non-stop like a stuck record.” (When someone feels your intentions are wrong, you should back out. But you kept going on like a stuck record). Salman told him that while his gameplay had been strong in earlier weeks, his handling of this conflict was completely misguided.

The Apology Dilemma: Arrogance Under the Scanner

When Salman turned to Kanika to check if Qazi had issued an apology, she revealed that he had become defensive and showed arrogance rather than remorse. While Qazi argued that he had offered a casual “sorry” near the garden gate, Salman firmly dismissed it, reminding him that claiming he would “take a bullet rather than apologize properly” is not how a genuine apology works.

Salman advised Qazi to understand personal boundaries, abandon stubborn excuses, and realize that intent does not override impact when spoken words cause discomfort to fellow contestants.
