News India Live, Digital Desk: The political temperature has once again risen in Bihar. RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has made the sharpest attack on the central and state governments so far. He has also made a very serious allegation on the Election Commission, blaming the “double engine government” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the backwardness of Bihar. Tejashwi said that the Election Commission has become a “washing machine to wash the sins of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“Not a double engine, it’s a trouble engine”
While addressing a public meeting in Purnia, Tejashwi Yadav said in a forceful manner that despite having a double engine government, Bihar is continuously lagging behind in the race of development. He said, “These people talk about a double engine government, but it is not a double engine, but a ‘trouble engine’. Poverty, unemployment and migration are at their peak in Bihar. Nitish ji has been the Chief Minister for the last 18-19 years and Modi ji is in power at the Center for the last 10 years, yet why did Bihar not get the status of a special state?”
“Lalu ji is in jail, everyone else is in the washing machine.”
While targeting BJP on the issue of corruption, Tejashwi took a jibe and mentioned his father Lalu Prasad Yadav. He said, “These people talk about eradicating corruption, but the truth is that there is only one leader (Lalu Yadav) in the country who is going to jail again and again because he never bowed down before the BJP. All the other corrupt leaders get cleaned in the BJP’s washing machine.”
Serious questions raised on the impartiality of the Election Commission
In his speech, Tejashwi Yadav also raised serious questions on the role of the Election Commission. He alleged that the Election Commission takes immediate action against the opposition but ignores the mistakes of the ruling party. He said, “The Election Commission is not working for the opposition but for washing away the sins of the BJP. It has become difficult to trust their impartiality now.”
Appealing to the people, Tejashwi said that for the future of Bihar, it is necessary to remove this ‘trouble engine’ government. His aggressive stance has made it clear that the conflict in Bihar politics will increase in the coming times.
