Bihar’s decision: Counting of votes tomorrow from 8 am, who will win in NDA and India alliance?

After the end of voting for the assembly elections held in two phases, now all eyes are on tomorrow, i.e. Friday, November 14, 2025. On the same day, counting of votes for all 243 assembly seats of Bihar will start from 8 am.

This election is not just a state election, but it will decide whether the NDA alliance led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will remain in power or the opposition ‘India’ alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav will succeed in turning the tables.

Counting of votes will start from 8 am

According to the Election Commission, 46 counting centers have been set up in 38 districts of Bihar, where the counting of votes will take place under tight security. Postal ballots will be counted first at 8 am and EVM trends will start coming in at around 8.30 am. It is expected that by afternoon the picture will be clear to a great extent and by evening the final results will also be declared.

This time, voters participated enthusiastically in the elections held in two phases and the turnout was record breaking. In the second and final phase, voter turnout was recorded at more than 67%, which is the highest in the electoral history of Bihar.

What do the exit poll figures say?

Most of the exit polls that came after the end of voting seem to be giving majority to the NDA alliance. However, the opposition camp is rejecting these figures and believes that the increased voting percentage is a sign of change. Both the alliances are claiming their respective victories, which has made the wait for the results even more interesting.

There are a total of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly, and any party or alliance will have to touch the magic figure of at least 122 seats to form the government. In the last assembly, NDA had 132 MLAs. Now it remains to be seen whether Nitish Kumar can save his seat or Bihar moves towards a new political equation. Tomorrow is going to be a very important day for the politics of Bihar.
