Delhi Elections 2024: Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, after considering the complaint of Congress leader Sandeep Dixit, has directed the Chief Secretary to investigate the allegations related to registration under ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’. Aam Aadmi Party has started this registration campaign after promising to give Rs 2100 per month to the women voters of Delhi. The Lieutenant Governor asked the Delhi Police Commissioner to investigate whether an ‘unauthorized person’ was filling the form offering Rs 2100 per month to the women of Delhi.
Responding to Delhi LG’s order for investigation, former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘BJP is upset with Mahila Samman and Sanjeev Yojana because it is losing Delhi elections. Lakhs of people are registering for Mahila Samman Card, Sanjeevani Yojana. Many BJP leaders called me and said – elections are over for us. After this they started creating ruckus at the registration camp. They are sending goons to our camps to stop people from registering for these schemes. They also sent Delhi Police to the camp to stop the registration process.
BJP-Congress together want to stop AAP in Delhi
Arvind Kejriwal said- BJP does not have courage, hence he asked Sandeep Dixit of Congress to lodge a complaint. Congress and BJP are working together to stop Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. But, there will be no success. You register for Mahila Samman Yojana, Sanjeevani Yojana. After winning the elections, we will implement both the schemes.
He said, ‘What investigation will BJP do? What is there to check? These schemes have not been implemented, this is an election promise of our party. We said that we will launch these schemes after the elections. BJP is fighting 2025 elections to stop all the welfare schemes. BJP wants to stop Mahila Samman Yojana. If the people of Delhi have voted for BJP, then when the government is formed, all the free electricity, water, buses and rickshaws provided to the people of Delhi will be stopped.
Why no action against Pravesh Verma who openly distributed money?
Along with this, Arvind Kejriwal targeted BJP leader Pravesh Verma and said, ‘He is openly distributing money and buying votes. Why is there no investigation against them, why is no action taken against them? We have not seen such an era when money is being distributed openly and no action is being taken. I want to say to the voters of Delhi – do you trust Kejriwal? I promised, free electricity, free water. BJP tried hard to stop these plans, but I will fulfill my promise.
