BJP created ruckus over CM Hemant Soren’s statement on Saraswati-Lakshmi:

Chief Minister Hemant Soren An alleged statement given by A.K. regarding Goddess Saraswati and Mata Lakshmi has created a big political controversy in the state. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called this statement an attack on ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and the faith of crores of Hindus. BJP leaders have accused the Chief Minister of indulging in appeasement politics and demanded a public apology from him.

What is the whole matter of the controversial statement? (The Contention)

According to sources, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, while addressing a public meeting, had mentioned Goddess Saraswati and Mata Lakshmi in the context of education and wealth.

CM’s argument: Emphasizing on education, he said that mere worship does not lead to knowledge or wealth, but it requires struggle and hard work.

BJP’s allegation: BJP says that in order to set an example, the Chief Minister has ridiculed the Gods and Goddesses. The party argues that Soren has taken a dig at religious symbols to hide his failures.

BJP’s sharp counterattack: “This is not tribal culture”

BJP state president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi Has expressed a strong reaction on this.

Cultural Attack: Marandi said, “The tribal society also worships nature and power. The kind of language Hemant Soren is using is against the culture and Sanatan tradition of Jharkhand.”

Allegation of appeasement: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also attacked, saying that the Chief Minister was insulting the Hindu faith to please a particular vote bank.

JMM’s clarification: “The statement was distorted”

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has defended the Chief Minister, saying that BJP is out of frustration presenting his statements in the wrong context.

Logical Approach: The party spokesperson says that the Chief Minister had only tried to explain that without education, development of the society is not possible and work is the greatest worship. He has not insulted any religion or deity.

Political Propaganda: JMM alleged that BJP has no development issues, hence it wants to divert public attention by creating religious controversies.

Political temperature may rise in Jharkhand

In view of the upcoming elections and the current political environment, this controversy is not showing any sign of stopping. BJP workers in various parts of the state have announced to burn effigies of the Chief Minister and hold demonstrations. At the same time, the opposition is preparing to raise it in the assembly also.
