In Rajasthan, now the Vice Chancellor of the University will be called Kulguru , BJP leaders had demanded that the word ‘husband’ be changed to ‘Guru’ in the name of the Vice Chancellor as it is wrong. After this, the government introduced a bill to change the name in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and was passed in the assembly.

The Vice Chancellor has been renamed as ‘Vice Chancellor’.

The ‘University Law Amendment Bill’ was passed in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Under this bill, the post of Chancellor in the university has been changed to ‘Vice Chancellor’ and the name of Pratikulapati has been changed to ‘Pratikulpati’, which will enable the university to get 32 government grants from the state. This change will only apply to Hindi language. However, the words Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor in English will remain unchanged.

The opposition protested.

During the debate on the Bill, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jhuli questioned the dominance of the outside Vice -Chancellors in the universities of the state. He said that out of 32 universities in Rajasthan, only four are the state vice -chancellors. However, most Vice Chancellor has been appointed from Uttar Pradesh. Julie gave an example of a medical university and said that a person from Maharashtra has been made the Vice Chancellor, who is not even a doctor. He is disqualified for this post. In many universities of the region, teachers are not getting timely salary and more than 4,000 posts are vacant. Only changing the name will not bring any major change until the values of Vedic culture and Sanatan Dharma are brought to universities.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel said that the opposition is looking for issues only to do politics. The objective of the BJP government is to make all -round development in the region and repair damaged infrastructure.

Whoever brings a heavy briefcase is made Chancellor.

Apart from this, Independent MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati said that instead of doing this, this tradition should be changed. The heaviest briefcase that brings is made Chancellor. This work has been done under the rule of both parties.
