News India Live, Digital Desk: Till yesterday, various kinds of speculations were being made in the political corridors of Patna in the politics of Bihar. Someone was saying that “this time the face of the Deputy CM will change”, while someone was discussing new names. But Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has surprised everyone with its decision today. The party has given a clear message – “When a pair is a hit, why change it?”
Yes, once again in the new government of Bihar Samrat Choudhary And Vijay Kumar Sinha He will take charge as Deputy Chief Minister.
After all, why did BJP not make changes?
The question in everyone’s mind is what is it about these two leaders that the party high command has reposed confidence in them? Let’s understand the real math behind it:
1. Tested and aggressive leadership
Political pundits believe that for BJP, the pairing of Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha is like ‘Ram-Lakhan’. While Samrat Chaudhary is famous for his aggressive attitude and ‘turban’, Vijay Sinha is an expert in making sharp attacks on the opposition. BJP knows that there is a strong opposition like RJD, to deal with which they need not ‘soft’ but such ‘sharp’ leaders.
2. Masterstroke of Caste Balance
Politics in Bihar does not happen without caste.
- Samrat Chaudhary: They come from ‘Koeri’ (Kushwaha) community. By keeping them forward, BJP is making a dent in Nitish Kumar’s ‘Luv-Kush’ vote bank (Kurmi-Koeri) and targeting OBC voters.
- Vijay Kumar Sinha: They come from the ‘Bhumihar’ community, which is the most staunch and loyal voter base of BJP.
In this way, by putting together a backward and a forward face, BJP has presented a great example of ‘social engineering’.
3. Preparation for 2025
BJP did not want to take any risk this time. Bihar Assembly elections are to be held next year in 2025. Instead of experimenting by bringing in new faces at such critical times, the party bet on leaders who already understand the system and have experience of running a government.
What do Samrat and Vijay have to say?
Both the leaders have expressed gratitude to the party leadership. He says that he is a ‘normal worker’ and will fulfill whatever responsibility the party gives him. But there is tremendous enthusiasm among his supporters. Sweets are being distributed and slogans are being raised.
So friends, the ‘opening batsman’ for the new innings of NDA in Bihar is the same old one. Now it remains to be seen at what pace of development this pair, together with Nitish Kumar, takes Bihar.
