BMC allegedly spent Rs 10 lakh at a hotel located in Mumbai -B ward. The Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a woman medical officer of the Health Department for demanding a bribe of Rs 6 thousand. Reshma Sawant and his assistant Govind Ghawat were arrested.
When both were produced in the court, the court sent them to two days police custody.
According to the FIR, the complainant is the owner of a hotel in B Ward. He applied to renew the hotel license. When the complainant went to the B Ward office for further processing, Govind Ghawat allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 6,000 for this.
The complainant immediately reported the case to the ACB. After this, ACB officials laid a trap. During this, ACB officials caught the first accused red handed taking bribe. Then Dr. Reshma Sabale was also arrested by ACB.
