After the announcement by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the School Education Department has started the process of teacher recruitment on a large scale in the state. Under this recruitment conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam), a total of 2292 posts of assistant teachers will be appointed in the first phase. According to official information, the written examination for these posts is likely to be held in October 2026.

Complete mathematics of 2292 posts: Recruitment in E and T cadre

Under this recruitment drive, the posts are divided into two categories. Out of total 2292 vacancies, 795 posts are for ‘E-Cadre’ (Educational Cadre), which will be mainly for schools in the plains. At the same time, 1497 posts have been reserved for ‘T-Cadre’ (Tribal Cadre), which will be filled in the schools of tribal dominated areas of the state. This step will remove the shortage of teachers in rural and remote areas and improve the quality of education.

Assistant Teacher Exam: 11 October 2026 (probable)

Teacher Recruitment Exam: 25 October 2026 (probable)

Lecturer Exam: 29 November 2026 (probable)

Eligibility and Selection Process: What should be the qualification?

It is mandatory for the candidates applying for these teacher recruitment posts to have ‘D.Ed’ or ‘B.Ed’ degree along with graduation/diploma in the relevant subject. Furthermore, the candidates CG TET Or CTET It is necessary to pass (Paper-1 or Paper-2 as per the post). The selection will be purely through written examination, in which questions will be asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, General Hindi, English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

The paper will be of 150 marks, the exam will have to be given on OMR sheet.

The pattern of Chhattisgarh Teacher Recruitment Exam is quite clear. There will be an objective paper of total 150 marks, fixed time will be given to solve it. The provision of negative marking is also being considered. The examination will be conducted in offline mode (OMR based). The aim of the state government is to complete the recruitment process in a transparent manner and get new teachers to the schools by the end of the year.
