Car, AC, Television cheap, new reforms of GST provide great relief to consumers:

After the major reforms made by the central government in GST rates, now the prices of many goods like air conditioner, car and television have been recorded drastically. The Finance Minister said that important decisions were taken in the 50th meeting of the GST Council, due to which these goods have become quite cheap for consumers. These new changes have come into force from 1 August.

During the GST Council meeting, it was decided to reduce the rates on many products and services, which will directly benefit the common man. These have mainly reduced GST rates on air conditioner (AC), television, security shields for cars as well as parts associated with LPG pipes. This has made it more economical to buy these items than before.

According to the new list released by the Finance Ministry, notification has been issued on all the products on which GST rates have been reduced. Now television, AC and LPG pipes like parts such as valves, filters and some specific fittings will be less GST than before. This will reduce their retail prices significantly, which will directly benefit the customers. This reform is considered by the government to provide some relief to consumers amid growing inflation. It is expected that these steps will increase demand in the market and people will be able to shop openly.
