A model named Janhvi Kapoor claimed that Abhishek Bachchan secretly married her in 2006. Janhvi also filed an FIR against Abhishek but she had neither any proof of marriage nor any witness. Due to which the police also did not take any action against Abhishek.

Janhvi tried to break the marriage many times but when that did not happen, she slit her wrist on the wedding day itself after which she had to be hospitalized. Janhvi created a lot of ruckus at that time, due to which Aishwarya and Abhishek's wedding celebrations were overshadowed.
Not many people were invited to their wedding and the couple took the seven vows amidst close friends and family. When questions were raised about this, the Bachchan family revealed that Amitabh Bachchan's mother Teji Bachchan was ill at that time, due to which the wedding was done in a simple manner.
