Today’s weather 2 December 2025: As soon as the month of December started, the weather took a sudden turn. The mild cold that was being felt till now has now started turning into ‘severe’ cold. Tuesday (December 2) morning dawned with haze and fog blanketing many cities in North India. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has also made it clear that due to cyclone ‘Ditvah’, there is major upheaval in the weather.

If you are planning to leave home today, then definitely know the weather of your state.

Tremors begin in Delhi

It has now become difficult to go out without a jacket in the country’s capital Delhi and NCR. The Meteorological Department says that at present there is no possibility of rain in Delhi, but the cold winds have increased the ‘chill’.
The temperature is falling rapidly. Today and in the coming few days, the minimum temperature of Delhi may remain in ‘single digit’ i.e. below 10 degrees. The meaning is clear, now you will feel less like getting out of the quilt.

Bihar-UP: Sunny during the day, but guarded by ‘mist’ in the morning

December has entered Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with fog. Especially in Bihar, the situation is a little worse. Dense fog is present in about 23 districts of the state. If you live in districts like West-East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia or Madhubani, then drive with caution. Here the visibility has reduced to 500 meters, due to which there is a fear of an accident.
However, the good thing is that as the day progresses, the sun comes out and the fog disappears. The Meteorological Department has said that the situation is going to remain like this till December 5.

‘Snow’ is going to rain on the mountains

If you are planning to visit the mountains, then there is good news for you. The weather of Uttarakhand remains excellent for tourists, but the local people are troubled by the ‘dry cold’. IMD has predicted that the weather will turn from December 4. There may be snowfall and light rain in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. This will have a direct impact on the plains and the cold there will increase further.

Impact of cyclone ‘Ditwah’

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also given an update regarding cyclone ‘Ditwah’. Its effect may be seen in the form of rain in some states, which will further drop the temperature.

Overall, now is the time to take out the warm clothes. Drive slowly in fog and take care of your health.
