News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the hustle and bustle of Bihar Assembly elections, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan has given a statement which, along with politics, also reflects his emotions and his deep respect for his father. He has described the 29 seats his party got in the NDA alliance as a sign of the blessings of his late father Ram Vilas Paswan.

During an interview, Chirag also gave a new definition to the famous MY (Muslim-Yadav) equation of Bihar.

What is this emotional connection of 29 seats?

When after long talks regarding seat sharing in Bihar elections, 29 seats were agreed upon for Chirag Paswan’s party, he did not consider it as just a political figure. Recalling his father, Chirag said, “It cannot be just a coincidence that all the conversations stop at a number which is proving to be so important for my party, this is the same number which my father was also blessed with.” He further said, “I am seeing it as a sign from my father that he had also won 29 seats and today I am getting the opportunity to contest on 29 seats.”

Chirag told his MY equation

Talking about the MY equation which has been going on in Bihar politics for decades, Chirag gave it a new form under his thinking of “Bihar First, Bihari First”. He said, “When I talk about MY, for me ‘M’ means ‘women’ and ‘Y’ means ‘youth’.” He said that his focus is not on castes, but on the empowerment and development of these two classes.

What did you say when Seema Singh’s nomination was cancelled?

When he was asked about the cancellation of nomination of party candidate Seema Singh from Marhaura seat due to a minor mistake, Chirag said that it was a human error. He expressed confidence that they are working on legal options and will urge the Election Commission to consider the matter. Chirag said, “I will try my best to achieve 100 percent strike rate in the upcoming Bihar elections, not only for my party but for the entire alliance.”
