Delhi is suffocating! AQI reaches 692, breathing means inviting death! GRAP-3 also ineffective, know the condition of your area

The sky of the country’s capital Delhi has once again been filled with poisonous smoke, and the situation has become so bad that even breathing has become difficult here. On Wednesday morning, Delhi’s air quality reached an all-time dangerous level of 692, which falls in the ‘hazardous’ category. This poison mixed in the air with the mild cold of November is proving fatal for the people.

The most worrying thing is that the third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan, i.e. GRAP-3, implemented on Tuesday to control pollution, has also proved to be completely ineffective.

GRAP-3 implemented, still the air is poisonous

In view of increasing pollution, GRAP-3 was implemented in Delhi on Tuesday itself. Under this, all types of construction works were banned in Delhi and running of diesel trucks as well as BS-3 and BS-4 vehicles was also banned. But despite these strict restrictions, instead of decreasing, pollution increased even more.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the level of PM2.5 (very fine particulate matter) in the air has reached 539 and PM10 (fine particulate matter) level has reached 722, which directly attack the lungs and can cause serious diseases. Areas like Anand Vihar (412), Alipur (415) and Bawana (436) of Delhi were already in a dangerous situation, but now the entire capital has become a ‘gas chamber’.

Why are we not getting relief? The weather is the villain

According to the Meteorological Department, the slow speed of wind is further increasing this poison. The wind speed is about 5 km/hour, due to which the pollution particles have settled at one place and are not able to spread. There is no possibility of rain for the next week. This means that Delhiites are not expected to get any major relief from this deadly wind for the next 3-4 days.

The minimum temperature in the capital remains around 12 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature remains around 26 degrees Celsius, due to which there is coldness in the morning and evening along with poisonous fog.
