Dusty storm from northern Pakistan towards Delhi-NCR
The IMD said on Thursday that the dust coming from northern Pakistan is moving towards Delhi-NCR via Punjab and Haryana. CPCB on Thursday recorded AQI 350 at Punjabi Bagh in the national capital.
According to IMD, this movement is due to the ongoing western winds in Punjab and Haryana. The department also stated that the dust is slowly moving towards the east, which is improving visibility in the Palam region of Delhi, where the visibility is currently 4000 meters. Meanwhile, Delhi is having severe heat, the average temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius and the level of pollution is also increasing.
