This morning has brought a sigh of relief for the people living in Delhi-NCR. For the third consecutive day, the city’s air quality has seen improvement and the mercury has remained below 20 degrees, due to which a light pink chill is being felt in the morning and evening.

This is nothing less than good news for Delhi which is struggling with the poison of pollution. Let us know how the weather of Delhi suddenly became so kind.

How clean has the air become?

This morning, Delhi’s average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 155, which falls in the ‘moderate’ i.e. ‘fair’ category. This is much better than the past few weeks. Experts say that due to good wind speed, pollution particles are not able to stay at one place, due to which the sky is also visible.

Pink cold has started

Not only the wind, the weather has also become pleasant. Today is the third consecutive day when Delhi’s minimum temperature was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius (19.4 degrees). The speed of the fan has reduced and a slight cold is felt when going out in the morning and evening. The Meteorological Department says that the sky may remain light cloudy in the coming days and there is a possibility of drizzle at some places, due to which the weather may become more pleasant.

But, will this relief last?

This question is in the mind of every Delhiite. However, this relief may last only for a few days, because as the cold increases and incidents of stubble burning increase in neighboring states, the danger of Delhi’s air becoming bad once again remains.

At present, this weather and clean air is no less than a gift for the people of Delhi. Better to enjoy it to the fullest.
