Do not get caught in selfishness and greed – Mohan Bhagwat

Bhagwat said, ‘During the Mahabharata there was no one who had converted, but what Duryodhana did in the greed to grab the kingdom of the Pandavas was unjust. Religious rituals should be performed regularly. We should not work under the influence of attachment and temptation, or not get caught in selfishness. Greed or fear should not take us away from our faith. That is why such centers have been established here.

Bhagwat was referring to Sadhgurudham, which conducts social activities in remote tribal areas for the upliftment of tribals. He said that when such centers were not working in this area, the ascetics used to go from village to village and give religious teachings to people and keep them adamant on the path of religion. He said that later when the population increased, these centers were established where people come and take advantage of religion.
