News India Live, Digital Desk: Winter is now on the threshold of its departure in Bihar, but the weather patterns are surprising people. At present, there is a ‘double whammy’ in the state. While a slight pink cold is felt in the morning and night, as the day progresses, the harsh rays of the sun have started making one sweat. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this dry season will not only continue in the coming days, but the mercury is also likely to rise further.

‘Fans’ likely to start working in February itself

The maximum temperature has reached above normal in many districts of Bihar including the capital Patna. The situation is such that the afternoon sun has now started scorching and fans have started running at low speed in many houses. Cities like Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur are also recording day temperatures between 28°C to 31°C, which is usually seen in the month of March.

Cold in the morning and night and heat during the day: danger to health.

Due to these huge fluctuations in weather (Temperature Diurnal Variation), the risk of diseases has increased. A difference of 15 to 17 degrees is being seen in day and night temperatures. According to doctors, this time is most sensitive to viral infections, cold, cough and flu, hence people have been advised to take special precautions.

IMD forecast: What will be the rain?

According to Patna Meteorological Centre, there is no possibility of rain in Bihar for the next one week. The sky will remain completely clear and the weather will remain dry. Due to the weakening of Western Disturbance and the influence of westerly winds, the minimum temperature will also increase gradually. After February 20, the mercury may cross 33°C in many parts of Bihar.

Farmer brothers, take care

Dry weather and increasing heat can also affect crops. Agricultural experts have advised farmers to properly manage irrigation to maintain moisture in the fields, so that the crops do not get damaged due to sudden increase in temperature.
