News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand, especially its Latehar district, has always been counted among the Naxal affected areas. In such a situation, when a dreaded Naxalite returns to the mainstream and surrenders, it is a major success for the police and administration and an important step towards peace restoration efforts. Recently, something similar happened in Latehar, when a notorious Naxalite, wanted in 35 serious cases, surrendered, raising hopes for peace and stability in the area.
Wanted Naxalite surrenders in 35 cases
According to the information, a notorious Naxalite has surrendered before the police and administration in Latehar, Jharkhand, against whom more than 35 serious criminal cases were registered. This Naxalite was absconding for many years by hiding the police and he was facing serious charges like murder, kidnapping, extortion and spreading violence. The surrender of such a dreaded criminal reflects the hard work of the security forces and the success of their rehabilitation policies.
Police and government agencies have been continuously active in the areas affected by Naxalism, so that the youth get a chance to give up their weapons and return to the mainstream. Many times such campaigns are run where surrendered Naxalites are given the benefits of government schemes so that they can live a normal life. This surrender is also being considered as the result of similar policies.
A ray of hope towards restoration of peace
In Naxal affected areas, such surrenders give hope for peace and development. Surrender of a Naxalite leader or active member not only helps in weakening that organization but also inspires other misguided people to give up their arms and lead a normal life.
Such surrender in a district like Latehar indicates that the administration is gradually succeeding in its fight against Naxalism. It is expected that this event will play an important role in completely freeing Jharkhand from Naxalism and bringing peace and development in the region.
