Ingredients to make Makhana Soup

Makhana – 1 cup
Sabbakki (small) – 1/2 cup
Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 pinch
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Peanuts – 1/4 cup
Almonds – 10
Cashews – 10

Ingredients needed for mixing

Ghee – 2 spoons
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – a little
Green chilli – 3
Potato – 1
Salt – as per taste
– 1 cup
Water – 3 cups
Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Tomato – 1
Lemon – half
Coriander – a little

How to make Makhana Soup

-First of all take a bowl. Add half cup sabbakki in it. Now add some water and soak for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat a pan, add black pepper, cumin and a pinch of salt and fry them well to make a powder.

Then heat 1 tablespoon ghee in another pan, add peanuts in it, fry well and take it out in a plate.

– In the same pan, fry almonds and cashews in the remaining ghee, add them to the peanuts and let them cool.

Then add makhana to it and fry for 2 minutes and keep it aside in a plate.

Now heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in another pan, add cumin, finely chopped ginger and green chillies and fry well.

Then add chopped potatoes, add a little salt and fry well. This will cook the potatoes quickly.

Then add soaked vegetables to it and mix well. Add 3 cups of water in it, add turmeric powder and tomatoes, mix well, close the lid and let it boil well for 2-3 minutes.

– When the soup boils well and the beetroot and potatoes are cooked, turn off the flame.

Then add roasted cashews, almonds, peanuts and makhana and mix well.

– Finally add roasted ground black pepper and cumin powder and mix. Close the lid and let it soak for 5 minutes.

– After 5 minutes, remove the lid and add lemon juice, mix and garnish with green coriander. That’s it, your delicious makhana soup is ready.
