ED arrested company manager in a bank fraud case of Rs 764 crore

Mumbai – Enforcement Director (ED), Director of Vindhyavasini Group of Companies, Vijay R.K. Gupta has been arrested. This action was taken in the case of fraud of Rs 25 lakh. The bank owes Rs 764 crore. Currently, the ED is checking the assets purchased from the loan amount. Further action will be taken based on that information. The ED started an investigation on the basis of the case registered by the Economic Offenses Branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In this case, six companies of Vidyavasini Group and its promoter Vijay R.K. Gupta and Ajay R. A case was registered against Gupta.

According to the complaint, these companies had taken various loans from State Bank of India on the basis of fake documents, although all loan accounts were declared bankrupt in 2013. Due to which the bank lost Rs 1,000 crore. 764.44 crores The ED has arrested Vijay Gupta in this case.

According to the ED investigation, Vijay Gupta took term loans and other loans in the name of various companies to buy Steel Rolling Mills (Silvassa and Maharashtra). In addition, loans were taken in the name of Rajput Retail Limited Company for the construction of the mall and the purchase of commercial building. Fake contracts were presented to receive the loan amount. It is alleged that fake documents were used for this.

More than 40 fake companies were used to transfer the loan amount. It is said that properties were purchased in Mumbai and surrounding areas with a certain amount.
