News India Live, Digital Desk: Hapur Train Accident: An incident occurred on the railway track in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh, which caused panic for some time. Actually, an engine carrying sleepers (i.e. the wooden or concrete blocks on which the railway tracks rest) used for laying the railway line derailed. It is being told that a wheel of the engine had come out of the track, due to which this incident occurred.

What happened in Hapur?

This incident happened near Hapur when railway construction work was going on and an engine was taking sleepers from one place to another. Suddenly, due to some technical fault or some disturbance on the track, one wheel of the engine came off the track. The fortunate thing was that the speed of the train was not high at that time and it was a freight engine, due to which there was no major loss of life.

Railway administration immediately came into action:

As soon as information about the incident was received, the railway administration immediately came into action. Railway officials and engineering teams reached the spot and started the work of bringing the derailed engine back on track. This work took a few hours, due to which the railway work and movement of trains on that track was disrupted for some time.

Although the incident was not major, it is a reminder of how important railway safety is. Even such small accidents can sometimes become the cause of major accidents.
